Former U.S. Congresswoman Val Demings visited Mandarin Museum on Saturday, December 30, 2023. Born and raised in Mandarin, Demings desired to experience The Untold Story of Black Mandarin exhibit alongside longtime Mandarin friends and family whose stories are represented. The informal gathering was filled with storytelling and celebration of 250 years of Black culture and community in the Mandarin area.
